Shakespeare Summer Seminar: Much Ado About Nothing

Let’s read the Bard together this summer! This “book club” is for everyone, so siblings & parents can join in on the beauty of Shakespeare’s language & the playfulness of this timeless comedy. Only one registration required per family. With your registration, you can either join “live or later,” as this course will be recorded for future viewing and will be available as recordings once each live session is complete.

This virtual course meets Tuesdays from 2:00 to 3:30 Central for 4 weeks (on Google Meet). Limited to 25 spots.

Meeting dates: June 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th

  • Week 1: Act I - Shakespeare’s imaginative backdrop & the Elizabethan worldview

  • Week 2: Act II - Tracing themes & How to read a soliloquy

  • Week 3: Act III - The shape & form of a Shakespearean comedy

  • Week 4: Acts IV & V - The comedic resolution

(Note: Summer Camps & Seminars are Nonrefundable, but spots can be transferred.)
